GCEC’s “Willie Wiredhand” Auctioned for TREWA

Recently we had the pleasure of creating a commemorative painting of the electric cooperative mascot, “Willie Wiredhand” as depicted in an early 1950’s utility truck with the Rural Electric Act emblem on the door. The painting was brought to auction to raise money for TREWA (Texas Rural Electric Women’s Association) at this year’s Texas Electric Cooperatives (TEC) annual convention held in Austin, Texas. Thank you Grayson Collin Electric Cooperative for the opportunity to support an outstanding organization that provides many scholarships and unique opportunities for our young people.
